Job Responsibilities:
Assignment involves considerable use of creativity, perception and initiative in making decisions as well as a high level of independent judgment. Interns will work with the senior IT leadership within GM in support of efforts to drive global common processes and systems throughout the organization while continuing to identify legacy systems for retirement
Depending on their assignment, interns will have to opportunity to work on:
Global IT project deliverables and/or strategy development for the Process Information Officers leading the Purchasing & Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Services, Sales Service & Marketing IT organizations
Global systems architecture and infrastructure strategies/projects for the GMIT’s Global Computing and Telecommunications Services Information Officer (operations) and the Chief Technology Officer (IT Strategy and Emerging Technology)
Interns will have interaction with leadership at the highest levels in GMIT. Will also need to be successful in partnering with business leaders; developing cross-functional relationships; and managing vendor resources.
Projects will be current and highly visible. Each intern will formally present project results and recommendations to GMIT Global Executive Leadership at the conclusion of their internship

Qualifications
Seeking students pursuing undergraduate degree in computer engineering, computer science, MIS or related technical curriculum.
Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0
Ability to accept employment in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
Also seeking graduate level students pursuing an MBA or MBA with Information Technology focus.
4-6 years prior work experience in information technology.
High level verbal and written communications skills.
High level need for logical and analytical skills where problems are unusual and difficult.
